The rules of Ludo are simple. Roll the die and move your pawns the number of spaces indicated. You can send back your opponent's pawn by landing on the same space. The first player to make a round of the board and get all their pieces to the center wins.

Different players have different rules when rolling a "1" in the game. Some follow a simplified rule where rolling a "1" permits them to move a pawn one step forward. However, others treats "1" with the same rule as "6." Under this, when a player rolls a "1," they can make a choice: either move a pawn out of their base and onto the starting position or move a pawn that is already in play.

• When a six is rolled, the player can choose to either move a pawn out of the base onto the start position or move a piece that is in play. When six is rolled from the die, the player gets an extra roll after the move.

• If a six is rolled three times in a row, the player loses a turn.
